Bellagio is the most photographed village on Lake Como, which means two things: the backdrops are extraordinary, and by mid-morning they're full of people doing the same thing you're trying to do. A private shoot with a vetted local photographer solves both problems — they know exactly when Salita Serbelloni is empty, which corner of Punta Spartivento catches the light, and how to work the Melzi gardens without the crowds in your frame. You pay the photographer on the day; we just match you and confirm the slot.

The Bellagio route
Every local photographer builds the route around three anchors. Salita Serbelloni, the steep cobbled stairway lined with shops and flowers, is the classic Bellagio frame — shot from below looking up, ideally before 9 am. Punta Spartivento, the park at the very tip of the promontory where the two branches of the lake split, gives open water and mountain panoramas in both directions. The Melzi gardens add statues, azaleas, and the Japanese maple grove. In two hours you can cover all three on foot.
Why sunrise is worth the alarm
Bellagio fills up fast from late morning, especially May to September. At dawn the Salita is empty, the lake is glass, and the light comes over the eastern mountains straight onto the village. Sunrise sessions cost slightly more because photographers start absurdly early, but if photos are the point of the trip, this is the single highest-value upgrade you can make.
Adding the boat
Some photographers can board a private boat with you for 30–60 minutes of shooting from the water — the villa coastline and the view back toward Bellagio from the lake. The boat is charged separately by the skipper. Tell us if you want this option and we'll coordinate both so the timing works.
How booking works
Message us on WhatsApp with your dates, group (couple, family, solo, proposal), and roughly what you have in mind. We check availability with vetted local photographers, you confirm a slot and meeting point — usually the Bellagio ferry landing or Piazza della Chiesa — and you pay the photographer directly on the day. No prepayment, ever.
